This is perfect. You've pretty much captured my own mental image. Sweet Celestia. You have Chrysalis perfectly show-accurate yet still in your own style. As for Star Swirl—YES! It's better than I imagined him! I have to compliment everything—the hair on him and on Chrysalis, the expressions (just like it should be with ponies (and changelings), those expressions involve appropriate ear positioning), hay, even the way you depicted their magic! This is exactly how I saw the unicorn horns behaving in that changed environment, and also, I simply love the interchanging rays of greenish orange and orange-ish green and those erratic green lines, perfect for changeling magic. You even got the size difference right—I can see that Chrysalis is bigger than Star Swirl here. And the panels either side of the center image, with their faces in greater focus—buck yeah! Aaaand even the font in which you did the words 'Darkest Hour' is perfectly fitting!
Dezy, you just... you just... excuse me while I melt into a grateful puddle.
